Words have so much power.
They make kids feel proud, loved, empowered, shame, inadequate, rebellious and more. Some words unlock behavior, and some words cause more misbehavior and struggles.
Take a moment & think about the feelings that were born during your childhood that are still causing you anguish today.
The words your parents used to correct and comment about you impacted you then, and are the lens you see yourself through today.
Now, consider for a moment that “your” words are like building blocks for your child. They can build a strong foundation or they can build a wall between you.
You CAN shift your words when you’re correcting behavior and still achieve the change you’re looking for, all without making your child feel bad about him/her self.
That’s what Proactive Parenting is all about. Spend a moment looking through what we offer to see if it’s a match for you.
